
OpTic Texas kept their perfect streak alive in the Call of Duty League Stage 3 Major qualifiers, defeating the Paris Gentle Mates with a clean 3-0 sweep on Friday.
Texas improved to 4-0, while Paris fell to 3-1. The Los Angeles Thieves, who had the day off on Friday, sit in second place with a 3-0 record.
As the third week of qualifying began, the Riyadh Falcons triumphed over the Miami Heretics with a 34-1 score, and Toronto KOI dominated the Vancouver Surge with a 3-0 victory.
The 12 Call of Duty League teams are competing in a full round-robin qualification to determine seeding for the season’s third major, scheduled for May 15-17 as part of DreamHack Atlanta.
On Friday, Texas outperformed Paris with map scores of 250-236 on Gridlock Hardpoint, 6-1 on Plaza Search and Destroy, and 5-2 on Den Overload.
Riyadh started strong with a 250-209 win on Sake Hardpoint, but Miami tied the series by taking Plaza Search and Destroy 6-4. The Falcons secured the match with victories on Den Overload 8-2 and Gridlock Hardpoint 250-191.
Toronto overwhelmed Vancouver with scores of 250-138 on Gridlock Hardpoint, 6-5 on Fringe Search and Destroy, and 4-0 on Den Overload.
