FIFA Chief Football Officer Jill Ellis has stressed that Chinese football possesses strong foundations but now requires a more strategic, unified objective. In a recent exclusive interview, Ellis noted that while resources are already in place, a shared long-term vision is essential for progress.
Ellis led a FIFA delegation on an inspection tour of China, visiting clubs, youth training centers, and holding discussions with coaches. The delegation also met with officials from the Chinese Football Association and the Chinese Professional Football League, covering topics such as global women’s football trends, youth talent development, and competition system building. Both sides reached a consensus on deepening cooperation in women’s football between China and FIFA.
