The Coaches Academy of the Lebanese Basketball Federation organized a Level 1 and Level 2 coaching course at Saint George’s School in Zalqa, attracting 105 coaches from various clubs and academies. The session was supervised by Academy Director Nimer Jaber, with instruction led by the academy’s technical director, national coach George Jaajaa, assisted by coach Faraj Aad. The program combined theoretical lessons and practical drills, all executed step-by-step by the participants.
The course runs over three weeks, concluding with both a practical and written examination. It is part of the federation’s strategic plan to develop and enhance the coaching staff responsible for overseeing youth teams in clubs and academies.
The academy has also laid out a year-round schedule that includes reassessments for all coaches across every level, periodic visits to academies for reevaluation, and targeted support to address their needs and improve their operations.
