According to local news reports, starting from May 11th, the second-floor outdoor platform surrounding Qingdao Youth Football Stadium, home of the Chinese Super League side Qingdao Haibao FC, will be fully open to the public.
The initiative, as reported by Chengyang Converged Media, aims to transform the perception of professional sports venues as places that are only lively during matches and fall silent afterward. By opening the platform’s public space, the stadium—which has witnessed tens of thousands of fans roaring during CSL matches—is becoming a true “urban living room” where citizens can stroll, relax, and enjoy the surroundings.
The newly accessible second-floor platform features three convenient entrances, allowing residents to freely enter and exit. It offers an ideal environment for evening walks, weekend leisure, and casual relaxation.
Officially unveiled in 2023 with a capacity of 50,000 seats, Qingdao Youth Football Stadium quickly gained national recognition through the Chinese Super League, the country’s most influential professional football league.
