Leonid Slutsky’s Shanghai Shenhua fought back from a two-goal deficit to snatch a 2-2 draw against Chongqing Tonglianglong in the 11th round of the Chinese Super League. The Russian coach’s side trailed early after goals from Landry Dimata (9th minute) and George Cimpanu (30th minute) put the visitors ahead.

Shanghai’s response came through a brace from Zhu Chenjie, who scored in the 66th and 75th minutes to level the match. In stoppage time, home defender Wilson Manafa was shown a red card.

The result leaves Shanghai Shenhua with 11 points in fifth place in the standings, while Chongqing Tonglianglong (20 points) sit second. Shanghai started the season with a 10-point deduction due to an anti-corruption investigation, one of nine top-flight clubs beginning the campaign with a negative points balance.
